Vauxhall Astra delayed starting & smell of petrol

car has problems starting when weather is damp and chilly , or when stood for any length of time . also when engine is turned off there is a strong smell of fuel for about 2-3 hours after please help.

Maybe a leaking injector,are there any fault codes logged.

Could try changing engine coolant temp sensor which lets ECU know how much fuel is needed .
