everyday when car is first started power steering does not kick in immediately. revving the the engine does not make any difference.after manoeuvring to get out of the drive power steering starts to work. this happens everyday.

check the power steering fluid level and top up if low

A long shot , but might be worth getting alternator output tested ,might be slow in kicking in .Two min job with meter .
