Check if interior / courtesy light is still functioning when door opened .

the internal lights of the car do switch off and on when i open and close the drivers door ?
i'm baffled, because it always worked before ?
(the warning noise/bleep if i accidentally left my lights on.
any other suggestion would be welcome

does the door open symbol come up on display?

Yes, the door symbols, they do come on ? ? ? I think it's something simple but I'm brain dead to what it is,
Incase I haven't described it correctly
Before if I got out of the car and I had left my lights on, (head lights, sidelights or both) an alarm of beeping noise would come?
