2004 Toyota Avensis excessive diesel use

On my dash comp screen it tells me the miles i have done but the range i have drops by 2 miles to every mile i do. The fuel gauge is also going down fast. I have checked for leaks and tyres are at correct pressure

Checked air filter ? any black smoke ?

Computer may need reseting/reconfiguring

Probably the price of the fuel you do not get as much and your computer,s only a guide that you need to reset before your journey.
