when stopped and i want to move of in first gear the car shutters very bad . had a new clutch fitted four weeks ago and then this started.

This could be as simple as your not used to the new biting point of the clutch, Ask someone else to take the car a quick run and see if they have the same problem. If you have been driving with a slipping clutch you will automatically use that biting point. A new clutch will be far more keen and want to go sooner
