When engine is warm and ticking over the heater blows cool/cold air when you rev the engine it blows warm/hot air,till it returns to idle then blows cold again.I have had the car for 3 years this problem has only just started.

Sounds like your coolant level is low

I suggest the system needs bleeding. Top the coolant level up and leave the cap off. Put heater controls onto the hottest setting and warm up gently with a few revs and topping up as necessary. Just before it gets to the point of boiling over, replace the cap. This should eliminate any air locks that may be in the system.
