got stuck in traffic jam kept stop starting then stopping then started again smell of burning once out of jam it worked ok then after stopping for half an hour it wouldnt start at all AA been out said starter motor had gone only done less than 22,000 miles 2018 reg

If you had the stop / start activated , one of the hazards if regular occurrence with constant use of starter motor kicking in . Not something I've heard many complaints or failures so far . Unless starter was defective , you would expect it to last longer than that .

P.S

I despise the stop / start and wouldn't have a car where you could not switch it off
