Engine light on

I have a ssanygoug rexton 2.7, it as a red light on just below the 140 on the speedometer the car is running perfectly.
How do I reset the light ,and what could be the trouble.
PS I have replaced the air filter made no difference!

You will need to get it scanned to see what fault has brought light on .
