have you tried calling out the aa or rac as they carry code readers on board.from what you are saying would suggest you start looking and checking that intake pipes are not loose or damaged and check the boost pressure sensor, make sure the inlet manifold and egr are`nt all carboned up.ideally you need to get the car to a main dealer otherwise you are just guessing

I have the same problem. I had my car with the dealer all day today. They did tests on it and the codes came back that the car was loosing power creating 20 problems. They were unable to locate the problem so they rang Ssangyong who gave suggestions (do not know what these suggestions where). They cleaned and checked all the connections but 15km down the road the light came on. so much for a waisted day.

Also I have a noisy rattle. The dealers tried to fix it at both the 10000km and 20000km and is still there.

Hi,there.if you havent fixed your rexton problem.Ihope this may help. This particular engine loses much of its power when there is thick build up of carbon inside your intake. As for the check engine light associated with low power please check first your vacuum modulator and also maybe stuck up e.g.r. valve.I suggest you also check all the hoses connected to your vacuum modulator and the e.g.r.As for the trouble code,it might be PO44 E.G.R.valve open airflow. Please let me know if it helps. Also drain your fuel filter and water separator.
