2004 Ssangyong Rexton no clutch pressure

When driving the car without changing gear for more than 40 minutes I lose my clutch pedal i.e. there is no pressure on the pedal and I therefore lose all my gears. This has occured a number of times whether driving in either 4th or 5th gear and also when towong our caravan or being driven solo. Has been pretty scary comong to the end of a motorway with a caravan on the back and suddenly no gears! Last time this happened we were stuck on the side of a dual carriageway for an hour, after this pressure returned to the pedal and I was able to complete the journey in 20 minute bursts. Has anyone out there had any similar experience??

sound to me like a master or slave cylinder fault on the hydraulic circuit. more likely is the master cylinder on the pedal.... probably damaged an internal seal and on occasions the pressure will be lost then other times it would be ok... recomend you have these inspected first!!!

Master cylinder has been replaced under warranty already but thanks for the advice.

I've had a very similar problem occur on my rexton and was hoping you could advise as to what you did to remedy the problem. I have also replaced the master cylinder but has not addressed the pressure problem.

Hi I've a similar problem with my clutch losing pressure. Did you ever get a solution to the problem. I feel like pulling out the box and changing the slave cylinder
