Today my Rexton was running fine, started up to move & it run smoothly for a while then suddenly changed to sounding like a tractor. I switched it off and there was a piercing buz. Turn it back on buz stopped started it again same thing happened, selected reverse engine cut out. Tried one more time, running smoothly selected drive then reverse all worked ok except for light on dash, drove half a mile, then turned into a tractor again and cut out. Several more attempts to move only produced loud engine noise and cut out, had to tow home, wont start at all now. only done about 60 thou, any ideas please? Thanks

very common for the injectors to go down on these i think its the same engine they use for the kia sedona which is none for injector faults no point second geussing you should get it to the garage for them to run some diagnostics or if in the rac etc get them out they should be able to point you in the right direction with there kit

I had the same problem with my rexton 2.7 manual I plugged it in and traced it to the sencor on injector pump Could not get the sencor seperately as its part of the pump New unit is 1600 euro replaced it with second hand unit for 200 . euro Car is fine now, but would not do again, too much labour involved. easier to replace engine.!! Regs Nealie.
