Ridiculous for that mileage . If you have had it since new , and full dealer service I would have been asking them to get Skoda to at LEAST make a contribution to the cost either in parts or labour

Thank you kind of you to reply.
I contacted Skoda a few days ago they are supposed to be getting back to me
The Skoda main dealer knows this and hasn't been helpful. They offered to buy the car off me at a silly price said that we had not driven car enough and that caused the problems. Don't know if that's true or not. They didnt want to let me keep the loan car until Skoda got back to me which they say would be this week. So yesterday had to collect the car and plod back home with it. Dealer reassured me saying if it breaks down on the way back it's not their problem but mine. Couldnt leave it there its 20 miles away in deepest Cornwall no alternative transport and the only way i could get home they knew that. Judging by their sense of customer service tbey would probably have charged for storage. Needless to say i am not impressed with dealer.
Sorry to moan it's been a long week and still waiting. Thank you for taking the time
I have had the car from new and has been serviced by same main dealer.

Their customer relations leave much to desire . It's a few years now since I ran my last dealership but in a case like this I could often raise what was known as an abnormal warranty . It was used when a fault should not have occurred on a car with low mileage and fully serviced as per manufacturers schedule on any of our valued customers behalf . Often they would agree to pay for claim in full or contribute parts or labour , purely as a company gesture which was good for all concerned . Whether they would do so for you remains to be seen , but hope springs eternal

HI
Thank you again for your help After all this time backwards and forwards with Skoda and main dealer they have agreed that I only need to pay half of the total bill for replacement At least it was worth pursuing . Just thought I'd let you know. Thank you very much for your advice and support. It is very much appreciated.
