2013 Skoda Octavia starting problem

Year: 2013
Variant: 1.6

When I turn on the ignition and the epc light does not show on the dashboard but other indicators shows the car will not start. Unless I remove the negative battery cable and turn on the headlight and wait for 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes I have to go back and placed the negative cable back on the battery, than when I turn on the ignition the epc light indicator will appear before the engine starts. What can I do to get it solved
