The car has completed 124k miles full service history. No gear stick vibration just a noise similar to a clutch release bearing. not jumping out of gear and all gear still smooth. A motor mechanic is suggesting a new gear box.

Get transmission fluid level checked , make sure it's not a wheel bearing , get at least a second opinion from a gearbox specialist.
