Engine/ transmission noise

Hi my car has done only 12000 miles and runs really well. On fast idle when you are for instance creeping along in a queue of traffic it sounds awfull there is a light rattle that appears to come from the engine.
Any ideas please. Graham

Hard to say from info . and without hearing it .Could be something like loose heat shield on exhaust .

Hi Thanks for the reply. No it is not exhaust heat shield rattle it is definately engine or transmission. Graham
