The mother in laws fabia tells you how to remove the service indicator in her handbook. Cant remember exactly how to do it off the top of my head but has something to do with the reset button for the mileomet.

Hi,

Try these steps:

contact off
push daycounter and hold, switch contact on
release daycounter, service message appears now, turn knob to the right, -- appears, switch contact off, switch on -> solved ;)
