The windscreen washers are possessed!! They come on almost constantly along with the spray, embarrassing boiling hot days and I am spraying all the cyclists with water on passing. Appears electrical or could be computer, I just need to know whether I have to take to a specialist Seat Garage.

The problem usually lies with the rear windshield motor.
The hose which get water to the rear spray nozzle is plugged straight to the motor. The hose usually crumbles after a few years allowing direct contact of water with the motor, making it work intermittently and erratically.
This has an electircal effect on the front wipers as well making them erratic too.

The solution is replacing the rear motor. But to make sure that's the fault you need to check it, which is a fairly easy task. Simply remove a few screws from the inner plastic trim and expose the motor.
