1999 Seat Ibiza keeps cutting out

Seat Ibiza 1.4mpi cuts out completely whilst driving and will only restart after a 10 min rest!
First started cutting out after around 15 miles now it's ever 1 mile.Any ideas??? (new coil pack fitted with no change)

Many possible causes , i.e could be ECT (engine coolant temp. ) sensor .Here are some comments ,

I run a SEAT dealership in Croyde and found that one of the biggest problems with Arosa/Ibiza running problems, poor starting and stalling is the coolant temp sensor located on the side of the engine, make sure you replace the O ring aswel

Posts: 9 Mine was the AKK engine code and finally I have had it fixed.
It was the crank sensor (engine speed sensor)
What is interesting is that the diagnostics never ever picked up this fault.
