2011 Seat Ibiza engine starts then stalls after about 8seconds

Variant: ecomotive diesel
the engine cranks okay and ticks over smoothly for aprox 8 seconds then stalls. If I press the accelerator it stalls instantly.

Need to check out if it is getting fuel , air in system , fuel filter needing changed , engine coolant temp sensor , any fault codes .
