Car was running fine, now will not start

Have been driving car everyday with no issues , went out today and it won’t start, it’s turning over ok can smell petrol, doesn’t seem like it’s firing at all.

Check for any fuel leaks , if o.k then spark at plugs .Probably need to remove plugs and dry out same , replace if worn / needed

Thanks for your reply, I haven’t checked plugs, this car is equipped with pencil coils, which seems weird that doesn’t fire on either of the 4 cylinders? I did look for fuel leeks but couldn’t find any.

Knew about the ignition pencil coils fitted , I missed it wasn't the 3 cyl engine where if one fails in can cause starting problems , though less likely on four cyls . So you have no spark from either ignition pencil coils ? Normally you would have fault light on .

No fault light when I last drove the car , which was a week previous to problem . Starting to think I need a mobile mechanic
