2012 Seat Ibiza dashboard lit up with faults

Car: Seat Ibiza
Year: 2012
Variant: 1.2 TDI
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Hi
I was driving when a number of engine warning lights came on, ABS, steering wheel, air bag, engine management light, electronic stability programme, locks starting locking and unlocking. It then started beeping x3 and rev counter drops. This all happened at the same time without warning. Has been serviced in the last month with no issues. Garage struggling to work out the cause. They have changed the battery and think it might be water in electrics?
I managed to drive it home but power steering also felt heavy. Help please.

Agree with your garage,
I'd be looking first at the multifunction control module.

Alternator charging rate would be worth checking .

3 beeps on that car usually warning off low brake fluid . Sounds like instrument cluster fault .

Actually there's a recent post on "Honest John's" back room technical matters that appears identical to your fault.

The problem was the metal bracket under the ECU unit it wore away the insulation around the wiring causing the electrical fault. Hope this helps others in a similar situation and thanks for the tips that helped find the cause.
