i had to call out the aa to my car troday as i could not unlock the steering wheel due to it being locked and not budging. aa came out and stupidly started it first time but he said it was due to the heat temp inside car read 34.5. Also he thought the barrel was worn . could this be right as its only done 32000 miles help please how to sort it

Load of rubbish from AA about the temp , typical .Did you try slightly rocking the steering wheel sideways to take load off when turning key ?.

You could also try lubricating the lock.
