2007 Seat Ibiza reverse and blowers

When I select reverse the blowers change as if its just blowing at the feet. Take out of reverse and they change back to the previous selection.. Weird ..

It's the ventilation automatically going onto recirc to stop you drawing in exhaust fumes .
