2008 Seat Ibiza front windscreen wipers

Driving along with windscreen wipers on and suddenly my front windscreen wiper stops working. I changed fuse but it kept 'popping' so I assumed it was the wiper motor. I changed the wiper motor and put in a new fuse but the same thing is happening. Could it be my electrics are F****D? I need a cost effective help.

Checked the wiper linkage , spindles are not seized when motor changed ?
