2009 Seat Ibiza engine cut out when windscreen wipers work

When windscreen wipers engage (any speed Inc. tap), the engine loses all power momentarily. Engine warning light then comes on.
Only result fr garage diagnostic is crank shaft. It definitely is not that. Could be another electrical fault?

Would suggest replacing crank sensor first and see if that cures the fault , got to be done anyway if showing faulty .Could check the wiring / plug to sensor first before replacing .
