Removing the cylinder head...

2003 Seat Ibiza 1.9SDi
Car: Seat Ibiza
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.9SDi
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
The car makes chuffing noises whilst driving and emits a lot of white/grey smoke. We think it is a piston or a valve that needs to be repaired but as we have never worked on one of these cars before need some advice. How do you remove the cylinder head?

Could be a few causes of white smoke .If you think it is valves / piston , a compression test will confirm or refute that , Your best bet on repairing car would be to get a Haynes workshop manual which will give you all the info you need including torque settings etc .
