the Spanner is showing with the words OIL next to it, not sure what it means?

Have you checked your engine oil if you have and its Ok! then check your sump there is usually a sensor with a wire leading off it. this indicates that the oil in the sump is low. see if wire is broken if not drain sump remove sensor and wire get brush & petrol(do not light up)AND CLEAN THE GUNGE OUT OF THE SENSOR. REFIT PUT OIL BACK IN BEFORE STARTING.

Sounds like the Oil Service light .
