2019 Seat Arona 1.6 diesel
Car: Seat Arona
Year: 2019
Variant: 1.6 diesel
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & LightsSteering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Bought the car June 2021 no probem until November when out of the blue Front Nearside tyre pressure indicator came on although a check next day found no pressure problem, bought 2 new front tyres and the indicator still said low pressure.Reset the infotainment and all was ok. 3 weeks ago the tyre pressure light came on followed by no brake assist no power steering engine management light followed by limp mode.Called RAC who could find no fault as with ignition off the fault had cleared itself only to reoccur after 3 miles. Mobile electrican diagnosed faulty front nearside ABS sensor, this was changed and faults came back after 2 days.
Car is currently with Seat service under warranty and they are having difficulty tracing the fault. HELP!!!

Seat dealership who have the car and the diagnostics to scan the vehicle are in a far better position to replicate and find the fault than any one like myself on line .Just be careful who you allow to do any work on your car as it could invalidate any warranty claim

I’m wondering if the OP has an update on this pls? I’m aware of an exact similar situation having occurred twice. The first - during warranty period - was apparently due to a faulty spark plug and was easily, quickly (and presumably cheaply) fixed by the dealer. The second - out of warranty - is apparently due to a wet, faulty ABS sensor with it being wet due to water coming through the bulkhead and running along the wiring harness, apparently meaning the harness also needs replaced at a chargeable cost of several £ks even after a Seat goodwill gesture to cover 50% of the cost of parts.

Member has not updated the forum. Surprised with it being an ABS sensor as far as I know they are like other cars and at the wheels . I wouldn't pay " several £ks " for fixing if it's a vehicle defect and would be chasing VW to pay for the full repair . They must be admitting liability if agreeing to pay minor concession of 50% pf parts you would think
