Hi there,
my wife's car starts when it decides to I had a mehanic out and he checked for fuel and it was good then checked for spark and found none but after disconnecting and reconnecting the injector electrical plug it came back and started, but the next day it wouldn't start, called the mechanic back and he checked a number of items and it started again but after putting everything back it failed to start again, any ideas as to the problem?

Intermittent Electrical fault.
Can take a few min's to fix and any amount of time to find.
All I can suggest is what I do,
Load test all power feeds and grounds to the ECU,
Load test all grounds to everything else.
It's an often overlooked aspect of electrics that electrical power comes OUT of the negative battery terminal then through the chassis then into say the ECU.
You do have one advantage,
It's doing it now.
It's almost impossible to find an electrical fault when it's not doing it.
