1998 Saab 900 electric roof does not work

Please help!!my roof worked well last year and has not been used for months and now will not move, it moved a little so the boot latches undid all that happens now when you operate the switch is a quiet click from the boot then the dash tells you to CHECK LATCHES. i have just disconnected the battery to see if the computer resets. any one got any ideas???

Check latch problem means that the micro switch (there are two one in each hole where the top pins fit into for proper fitting when closed above the windshield) are stuck and one of them is open and the other is stuck closed. Need to check that first to eliminate the error issue. "

With my 'vert sometimes it doesn't quite register that the e-brake is on so it takes a couple tries.
If not, check all your fuses.
It may be a wire, or it might need hydraulic fluid, or a whole new motor. "

Hi again, thank for you help,i have checked the latch switches and they are now working and it has stopped coming up "check latches"but still does not work, when i press the button the windows drop a little then stop, there is a quiet click from the boot but that is it, i have checked the fuses all ok.I have lifted the rear roof part to open the toneau all looks ok and the two micro switches seem to work properly as I said last summer we had no probs at all this has been since it has not been used. also tried disconnecting the battery for a while thinking it might just all reset but no go. any more ideas???. many thanks
