1999 Renault Scenic car won't start please any help.

HI i put a cd in my stereo when i was driving and it fused something , the dash lights went.straight away then the car cut out, towed home. i replaced the dash fuse and tried to start the car, it turns over and the immobiliser light goes off but will just not start, itsounds as if my immobiliser is on, but def off . checked all fuses , any help or hints will be great thanks

Check that the fuel cut-out switch has not been activated.
Before you press down to reset it, bear in mind that you are feeling with your finger tip for an almost imperceptible 'click' as you press down on the rubber cover. If you feel the 'click' as you press down, then it WAS activated.

Double check all fuses .
