2001 Renault Scenic loss of power when driving. stalling when stationery.

Intermittent fault. Been to garage twice who connected up to computer but found no fault. OK on short journeys. After 20 mins gets suddenly very juddery then stalls. Does restart but sometimes have to leave for a while. Engine warm but not overheating. Had full service Jan.

Could be the very common fault on that car of ignition coils/ pack breaking down intermittantly .

Thanks. I'll get a quote for replacing coils. Had them done @25k & 50k. Now near 70k mileage so maybe they were due to be replaced anyway?

Very likely , notorious fault .

I had a loss of power while travelling at 70mph I had to down to 3rd and drive at 3500revs to get me home. engine starts but sounds like its on three cylinders.
