2003 Renault Scenic dashboard flicker /loss trip/ mileage clock/variable unlocking

on start up, losing the trip mileage and clock resets to zero. the permanent mileage would appear to be fine. have had whole dashboard flicker and is dim. Central locking would appear to think unlocking is optional- 90% fine -locking would appear to be fine at the moment including occasional automatic locking after 1 minute. all faults are intermittant and started 10 days ago- mileage is 39500 - any idea as to whether it is wiring (loose connection) or fundamental fault on the dash?

A low battery can cause this . Could test or charge battery and see if it cures fault .But you can get instrument cluster faults also on that car .Easy option to try battery first .

MY 2004 SCENIC DASH DID THE SAME , MILEAGE STARTED JUMPING 3000 KM ON A 20 KM TRIP.
