Low revs and shaking

2003 Renault Scenic 1.6 Authentique
Car: Renault Scenic
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.6 Authentique
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hey all,

Recently my car has started falling apart.

Firstly when you switch the ignition on it fails then starts the second time but stays in a very low rev state (Roughly at 5) and the gear stick shakes... The car drives fine though but this is very worring.

Also when central locking comes on it makes a screaching sound as if its being forced into position... can anyone please help! Thanks

Check / replace the engine coolant temp sensor .This lets the ECU know how much fuel to supply to engine on start up etc. Also check coil packs , common fault and crankshaft sensor .Depends where noise is coming from , could be sticking lock solenoid / linkage .
