2002 Renault Scenic knock from under car

the car has a knock from under the front and you can feel it through the stering wheel when you take your foot on and off the accelarator when moving

Would be worthwhile checking engine mountings .If not that check susp./ arms / bushes for wear .

usual favorite probably... lower gearbox mounting to rear of subframe. does the gearstick move violently when you accelerate or let off? if not then check anti-roll bar links, wishbone bushes and ball joints and also exhaust system...
