1998 Renault Scenic n/s indicator stays on all the time

The n/s indicator light stays on all the time and drains the battery. Even when you put the hazards on only the o/s works. Hope that you can help, Thanks.

front or rear indicator?remove bulb and check wiring to bulb holder is`nt damaged or shorting out on anything

Check hazzard light switch on and off a few times in case it is affecting indicators Could also disconnect, temporarily to eliminate that.Might also be the indicator relay / unit , whatever it is on that car .

I too have the same problem, its caused when i remotely unlock the car all the nearside indicators stay on, sometimes i can press the key on and off and it goes out, but today it seems permanently stuck on, can anyone help me with a cure, ie is it possible to bypass the remote central locking ifso how does one do that as I havent a clue what to do
