2007 Renault Scenic loss of power in 4th gear

Can anyone help with a power problem. Have a 1.6 petrol Scenic (2007). Every so often I seem to lose power in 4th gear in various scenarios (i.e various locations, revs etc. The problem goes away after change to another gear. Just don't want this to be the start of something major.

Strange it only happens in 4th gear , dont know why that would happen . Other than getting a diagnostic scan and seeing if anything shows , being an intermittent fault it might not , dont know what to suggest .

Thanks for the reply. It's going in tomorrow for a stint on the diagnostic machine but to be honest don't think they'll find anything. My partner said it did it again this time in 3rd gear. The only thing she said was that it hasn't done it for the last few days when the outside temperature has been a lot higher. Will see if it does it again next week when it's due to get pretty cold again.

Diagnostic didn't find anything. Had a drive in it today and saw the problem myself for the first time. Accelerating gently in 3rd gear when sudden loss of revs for 3 or 4 seconds, followed by revs / acceleration returning for 4 or 5 seconds then loss of revs again for 3 or 4 seconds. As i'm in a gear the vehicle slows down due to the braking effect of being in too lower a gear.
