2003 Renault Scenic side mirrors wheel on unit that operates mirrors is broken/loose

The unit is located on the driver’s door the unit is electrical and consist of a wheel that you turn to operate either side mirror. While using it to adjust my side mirror I can only assume something has broken. This wheel that is attached to a plastic tail now comes out of the unit and I’m unable to adjust mirrors. I fear it might not be repairable and whole unit might need replacing if so what would be the cost.

Can you not get the wheel / adjuster as a separate part if that's all that is broken ? Renault parts dept should be able to tell you .
