2003 Renault Scenic poor acceleration / power at low to mid revs

Car: Renault Scenic
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.9 DCi Dynamic
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Recently my scenic has lost power when accelerating from low revs, 1500-2500 rpm. Once the turbo cuts in at about 2500 everything is fine, but up until this point, there is no ooompfh. I read some comments about the EGR valve, so I dismantled it and gave it a serious clean; it was absolutely lagged in oily crud. My hopes faded when I went for a spin after re assembling it, with no noticeable improvement. Any tips or solutions much appreciated, Thanks

check your vacume supply to your turbo control valve find the vac pumps on the end of the n/s cylinder head youll see a small rubber pipe pull it off and drill it out with w 2mm drill ( you may need to remove black platic bit on vac pump to do this) Simples :)
