2000 Renault Scenic problem starting

Is the engine turning over o.k when it doesn't start , before you jump start ?

no the engine wont turn over

Check wiring to starter and all earths .Especially any earth between engine / gearbox and body .

ok. do u think it could be a lazy starter cause it usually starts any time apart from first thing in morning

Could be a lazy starter , but usually if that's the fault , it turns over slowly as starter drags .But may well be , could get it bench tested before replacing in case it's o.k .

check alternator charge rate and for battery drainage

Would think alternator would be o.k and charging if as you say it starts o.k all day after jump start ? Never suggested battery drain as you said battery was tested and o.k , but you never know with cars , worth checking .

sounds like starter is playing up....solenoid sticking

get starter motar checked
