Can be caused by bad earth .

common problem on the scienic/megane range,go to your rear o/s drivers lamp,open your boot and disconnect the rear bulb holder from the lense as if you were gonna change the bulbs ,disconnect the connection harness from the bulb holder follow the purple wire and this is your problem corrosion on the pins/connections,clean these up and pinch the pins closer together followed by a good cleaning with contact cleaner,think youl find from here on jobs a good un,just done 1 last week as my customers scienic's back end was like a fun fair,also got done with a 14 day producer by the rozzers so get it sorted before they get you.......

I have the same problem. I tried cleaning up the connections, but problem persists. I suspect that there is damage to the bulb holder board. Anyone know where I can find a replacement board? I have a Renault Scenic 2000. I currently live in Frankfurt Germany.
