2004 Renault Scenic gear stick movement and knock

Two main problems. When in 4th or 5th gear the gear stick moves back and forth when accelerating and easing off. what problem could this be. also i have a knock which seems to be front drivers side. its makes a knock/clunk when braking heavy or just turning right. sometimes also over bumps the same noise can appear. comments fully apreciated, thankyou

Check gear linkage / cables setup for wear .You will need to get car jacked up and check front suspension / steering / shock absorbers/ coil springs/ bearings etc.
