2004 Renault Scenic diesel smoke

my car has now done 90,000 miles and has been serviced as per scedule.it now has a habit of smoking from the exhaust when hot. you drive normally for miles but stop at traffic lights for a couple of minutes,pull away and you cant see behind you. does not use oil and smoke is white.diagnostic machine shows no fault codes. can anybody help,mot due but wont pass like this,cheers,les.

i suspect head gasket... have you lost any coolant? does it misfire when the white smoke i there?

I had this problem myself and turned out to be the Turbo!

try repacing egr valve. if this doesn't work may be fault on injector,ie 'pooling' diesel in cylinder and releasing excess fuel when throttle opened.
