1999 Renault Scenic electric sunroof opens but will not close

might be the switch cos if the motor goes one way it just reverses the polarity of the wires to send it the other way

Someone else had the same fault

hi. just got home its 10pm and the front sunroof wont close, the rear one is working okay, just the front one refuses to close,its in the fully open position., any ideas, i will have to look at it in the morning, ive covered it with a plastic sheet for tonight, according to my Haynes manual its fuse is F22, but thats not blown, i will need to to get it sorted as my car shed is full of furniture at the moment, so i dont want rain to enter it, well i got around to looking at this, i removed the passenger side reading light from the roof console, and that exposed the motor, with a a hex bolt where i put my 4mm allen key and manually wound the front sunroof back to the closed position, that freed it up and i greased the tracks with some white lithium grease, couple of squirts of CRC down the cables and all is working, thanks to this site, a great help
