1999 Renault Scenic not fireing

Car: Renault Scenic
Year: 1999
Variant: 1.6Petrol rt

As I was driving the engine cut out (orange coil light came on)unable to restart o towed it home,
checked spark and seems ok
faint traces of fule on plugs when removed
all fuses ok

? how can I check the fuel pump as the wife let the fuel drop extreemly low befoe filling up
? could it be the ecu
any ideas on what checks can be done would be well recived

Don't think you have a problem with the fuel pump as that will not switch the managment light on.Check the resistance on the crank sensor as thats a favorite for packing in without warning. Coil's can cause problems as well.

replaced the TDC sensor still not fireing checked the spark which is yellow should it be blue? the coil is in a single block on top of the rocker cover
have pressed the cut off button no change and plugs are wet with fuel after turning over
anything else I can do before takig it to Renault
