2003 Renault Scenic coil light & stop lights keep flashing on & off every now & then

For the last year now the coil light flashes on and off every now and then, also sometime the stop light does this every now and then as well? Should I be worried? Also just recently the car has needed a little accelerater peddle to start? Can anyone help?

remove the speedo head and check connections!!!
remove and clean the throttle body. it could be gunked up!!!
