STOP warning light came on in my 2014 Scenic Xmod Auto with check hill start assist message. Turned car off for an hour and when restarted message and warning light had gone. Is it safe to drive?

This can happen if a battery is low , weak or needing a charge . Can happen if not used much or for short journeys ,
