2000 Renault Scenic air flow direction

Variant: 1.6
Cannot change direction of the airflow from dashboard to floor. Can any one tell me how to achieve this

when you operate the control does if feel like it is doing anything if not the cable may have come disconnected or has kinked and so is not moving the control flap if this is the case you would have to remove the controls and replace or refix cable
