2002 Renault Scenic electric central locking

my fob will lock the car but will not unlock leaving me to open the car by key on the passenger side, I have changed the battery and searched for relays but to no avail, the fob sometimes works for a day or two then ceases to unlock for a few weeks, can you help.

May be a fault with key fob / remote which is quite common .
