2002 Renault Scenic tailgate window won't open

My 2002 Scenic window has stopped opening. It was ok till other day and now button clicks but doesn't push in to release window. I can't see anything stuck

you can substitute switch with other on car to see if that,s the issue.

Which switch are you referring to as the switch I'm on about is the one above the rear number plate

Sorry I read it wrong that,s a micro switch in there,more likley to be a wiring issue or that switch is faulty,would first check the wiring where it comes through the hinge.
